Niladri Utsav 2026 – Day 07 Highlights

A Vibrant Evening of Dance, Devotion and Cultural Heritage

The seventh day of Niladri Utsav 2026, held on 23 July 2026 at Shri Thyagraj Jagannath Mandir, New Delhi, celebrated the rich diversity of Indian and international folk and classical dance traditions. The evening brought together talented artists, cultural institutions, distinguished guests and devotees for a memorable celebration dedicated to the spiritual and cultural heritage of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath. The programme featured three captivating performances, each presenting a unique artistic tradition. The first 30-minute performance was presented by Natraj Dance Academy, Odisha, under the guidance of Guru Dipankar Nayak. The performance showcased the vibrant traditions of Haryanvi dance from Haryana, Jhumur from West Bengal and Maruni dance from Nepal, creating a beautiful representation of regional and cross-border cultural heritage. This was followed by a 30-minute presentation by Sanskriti Dance & Music Academy, Delhi, mentored by Guru Srimant Mishra. The group presented a combination of Odissi, semi-classical and Sambalpuri folk dance, bringing together Odisha’s classical grace and vibrant folk traditions on one stage. The final performance was presented by Sankalp Arts & Culture Foundation, featuring Odissi dance under the guidance of Guru Kasturi Pattnaik. The graceful movements, expressive storytelling and devotional character of the performance added a spiritual dimension to the evening.

Distinguished Guests and Celebration of India’s Cultural Unity

The cultural evening was further honoured by the presence of distinguished guests, including Shri Rama Avatar Yadav, SP, CBI Headquarters; Smt. Manjulata Mandal, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha; and Shri Muktikanta Mandal, former Member of the Legislative Assembly from Dhamnagar, Odisha. Their presence added significance to the celebration and reflected the importance of supporting India’s cultural traditions. Day 07 beautifully demonstrated how classical, semi-classical and folk traditions can come together to celebrate the country’s incredible cultural diversity. From Haryana and West Bengal to Odisha and Nepal, the performances created a vibrant cultural journey filled with rhythm, colour and devotion. The evening also highlighted the role of cultural institutions and gurus in preserving traditional art forms and passing them on to future generations. With the divine blessings of Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, Niladri Utsav 2026 Day 07 became a memorable celebration of artistic excellence, cultural unity, devotion and the timeless heritage of India.

Distinguished Guests at Niladri Mahotsav 2026

Smt. Manjulata Mandal Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha

Smt. Manjulata Mandal is a Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha representing Odisha. Her presence at Niladri Utsav 2026 added significance to the celebration and highlighted the importance of preserving Odisha’s traditional arts, culture and spiritual heritage. Her participation strengthened the connection between Odisha’s cultural identity and the celebrations in New Delhi.

Shri Muktikanta Mandal Former Member of the Legislative Assembly Odisha

Shri Muktikanta Mandal is a former Member of the Legislative Assembly from Dhamnagar, Odisha. His presence at the seventh day of Niladri Utsav added to the distinguished gathering and reflected his association with public life and Odisha. His participation contributed to the celebration of the state’s vibrant cultural traditions and devotion to Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath.
