Day 03 – Niladri Utsav 2025
Sundarkand & Shyam Bhakti
SHRI JAGANNATH MANDIR, THYAGRAJ NAGAR, DELHI

A Soulful Evening of Sundarkand Paath & Shyam Bhakti at Jagannath Mandir, Thyagraj Nagar
🕉️ Not a Performance, But a Prayer
While the first two days of Niladri Mahotsav 2025 lit the stage with classical dance and culture, Day 3 offered a different energy. It brought everyone into silence, surrender, and spiritual stillness.
There were no performances. No applause. Just bhakti — pure, powerful, and personal.
The temple became a sacred space. Here, the voice of scripture replaced the sound of music. The rhythm of the evening was divine remembrance.
📿 Program Flow – A Night of Sacred Chanting
🕠 5:30 PM – 7:00 PM: Sundarkand Paath
The evening began with a melodious recitation of the Sundarkand. This chapter from the Ramcharitmanas celebrates the strength, humility, and divine grace of Lord Hanuman.
Each verse flowed like a river of devotion. It immersed the listeners in stories of courage, loyalty, and unwavering faith.
Children sat beside elders, listening in silence. The air carried verses that have echoed in Indian homes for centuries.
“Jo sumirat siddhi hoi, ganu nayak, kari bar badan.”
Remembering Hanuman brings success, peace, and strength.
Everyone present felt this truth in their hearts.
🕖 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM: 264वां श्री श्याम मिलन संकीर्तन
As twilight descended, the temple courtyard came alive. The sound of Naam Sankirtan filled the air in honor of Khatu Shyam Ji.
This was the 264th Shyam Milan, a divine musical gathering. It united hearts through bhajans, rhythm, and the chanting of the Lord’s name.
🎶 “Shyam teri bansi pukare Radha naam…”
Young children clapped joyfully. Elders were seen with tears of devotion. The atmosphere overflowed with Shyam Ras — love, surrender, and divine longing.
🌟 Bhakti That Transcends Generations
There were no big lights or stage curtains. Just togetherness.
Grandparents sang beside grandchildren. Families clapped and prayed in unison. People of all castes, ages, and backgrounds shared one rhythm — faith.
This day reminded us: The strongest stages aren’t built from wood, but from devotion.
🛕 A Day to Remember
Day 3 proved that spiritual festivals are not only about culture — they are deeply transformational.
Whether you’re a lifelong devotee or someone new to bhakti, this evening offered peace, surrender, and a powerful sense of connection.
These sacred, song-filled evenings leave an impression long after the festival ends.
🙏 From the Heart of Thyagraj Nagar…
As the conch blew and the aarti flames danced, one truth stood out clearly:
Jagannath’s chariot doesn’t only travel through streets — it moves through hearts.
One bhajan at a time.
